A portrait of me painted by the beautiful and talented Soey Milk, which will be exhibited as a part of a series of painting titled “Malus Sieversii” tomorrow at the La Luz de Jesus Gallery.

Looking at Soey’s paintings, is an exploration into a mysterious other realm, tinted with a violet cloud of darkness that can be sweet, yet poisonous. A world of teacups, white sheets, pearls and tattoos; Imbued with symbolism and a high sense of fashionable taste, Soey’s paintings is an art form of elegant storytelling, inhabited by mysterious heroines of fragile, yet dignified characters.
